History. This site started as my PhD research blog.
Ph.D. research is kind of a big thing. Right? 200-300 pages of carefully crafted analysis, discovering something new, some kind of new useful knowledge benefiting our society. Therefore, it is research, but it is also a vision; a vision of how that new knowledge can help our society. It is a vision, but it is also a social project, because to make the vision happen, you need a community: a village that will use and enhance that knowledge.
This site is about that: Ph.D. research, and ambition to make that vision a social project. It is about how perioperative teams can learn and work better together and how technology can enhance that collaboration.
I invite you to join and help this project.
How can you help?
The research findings will be presented in open research format. I hope you can provide constructive criticism, so the research can be improved.
Reviewing technical solutions. This site is (will be – it is still in process) created through an integration of:
- WordPress content management system
- CiviCRM Constituent/Association Management System
- Moodle community hub, with 3-7 Moodle sites being integrated into it (WordPress LMS will be used as alternative LMS)
- Mahara ePortfolio system
Become part of the team. The proposed combination is a very powerful, very flexible combination. There are numerous options, providing an almost-endless number of different combinations. I hope you can join me as I review and customize some of our solutions. It is a complex project, but if we have a team, anything can be achieved, right?
